It is with a heavy heart I send our heartfelt condolences to the Usenis, Tarok Nation, Plateau and the entire country over the demise of a well admired and respected elder statesman, father and stakeholder, Lt. Gen. Jeremiah Timbut Useni.Rtd. Sardaunan plateau and Nassarawa states.

The condolence message is contained in a press statement dated 8th February, 2025 signed by the Chairman Ichu Otarok Forum and made available to this medium in Jos.

Useni as true patriotic ambassador of  both nationally and internationally as he projected the  values of discipline, integration, hospitality, hard-work and ingenuity of the state in the discharge of his assigned assignments and personal activities both in the Military and his democratic participation, leaving an indelible legacies written his name  on golden sands of time. 

His astute and pragmatic approach to governance when he was Governor former Bendel State,  former  Minister for FCT  Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Dist Senator Federal Republic of Nigeria and his remarkable strides in the Nigeria economy and democracy are worthy of  emulation. 

His death  is a big loss not only to his immediate family, Taroh Nation, friends, business associates and well-wishers, but to Plateau and the entire country,  came at a time his wise counsel is needed the most.

our heart is with the entire tarok nation particularly the Usenis  to take solace in God and be comforted.

May the Almighty God comfort us all and grant him eternal rest with the Lord and the grace to bear this irreparable loss .
