The Former Minister of Sport and youth development in the first tenure of the past president  Muhammadu Buhari ,Solomon Dalung again has come hard on  president Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he said  president Tinubu is deliberately punishing Nigeria electorates with harsh economic policies because they refused to vote for him.

As lgbarman Tarok said it’s  only country like Nigeria  that a candidate scored as low as 36 percent of the total vote cast in an election is declared winner like in the case of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu who had 36 percent of the total votes case in the 36 states including FCT and was declared winner in 2023 presidential election while the remaining 64 percent of electorates votes were left in the electoral Cold to gnash their  political teeth contrary to electoral constitution guarding declaration of elections results.

Dalung who has become a pain on the political neck of Tinubu led administration since assumption of office as president in the controversial  general , said Tinubu regime is the only one since 1999 without transition committee like his predecessor which contributed to it clueless policies.

Dalung was speaking recently in an interview with Journalists in his residence at building materials market in Jos South Local government of the State.

Dalung said he expected President Tinubu to be grateful to God for having  Mahmood Yakubu as the Chairman of INEC in the country who hastingly declared him president without recourse to whether he constitutionally merit the majority votes speit out in the electoral constitution .

The Former Minister frowned at the pronouncement of Tinubu by Mahmood Yakubu INEC chairman as the winner of the election even when he only won 36 percent of the total vote cast which has never been done anywhere in the world except Nigeria.

“Is never done anywhere in the world that a candidate scored 36 percent vote, and he is declared president not until you win 50 percent and above. It have never done anywhere even in smaller countries like Ghana, Ivory Coast and host of other Africa countries, president is only declared winner if he has won 50 percent of the total vote cast as its stipulated in the constitution.

The declaration of Tinubu as the president of Nigeria in 2023 general election, is an electoral Monkery in our democracy.

All the political  cohort of  Mr president are sacred cow who have not been suspended or query for  their actions an  inaction  . All these put together defined president Bola Ahmed Tinubu insincererity of his efforts in dealing with the current prices of commodities  in the market that can’t come down.

Rather galloping inflation that is what we are dealing with everyday despite shenanigans going on announcing forex administration on behalf of the president, is a common sight to see Mr president aid announcing the price of exchange rate of naira to a Dollar.

Not even the Central Bank who suppose to be the regulator, as the president has converted the country to praise singing.

The Former Sport Minister said all these led to questioning the capacity of president  Tinubu led government to influence the coming down of price of items soonest in the market which have influenced the prices of essential goods and services in general.

He berated  Tinubu administration over the recent increments of electricity tariff as he described it as an onslots on the poor under the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He further said the recent move of president Tinubu is going to shut down the entire country Small scales businesses as their turnover can’t even sustain their wage Bill.

Small businesses are going to shut down as we shall witness another round of increase of prices of food stuffs across the facet of the economy.

Stressed that these two areas of the economy the government have touched, is the major live wire of the economy, petrol and electricity as government has recklessly introduced very ridiculous price against the people.

Dalung lamented that president Tinubu just slept, wake Tinubu  wake up from the wrong side of his bed and made a pronouncement of the removal of subsidy and embarked on the sharing companies of friends, relations in the name of phase (1) importing fuel to supplement the crisis created which led to the pronouncement of the careless statement.

He Condemned the recent sharing of palliative which he described as rhetoric of the government where the items where shared to contractors, aid to the President, members of the National Assembly and States Governors.

The palliative regime has also created a lot of calamity from the distribution , the statistics of death toll from the people scrambling for the palliative where a significant quantity of food is acquired for politically motivated reasons.

” You asked people to come from their houses in their numbers, to struggle for a little quantity of materials on the ground which is obvious that the system has failed.”

In summary, the government has not been able to do anything tangible to deal with current challenges on the ground, so you cannot increase the price of petroleum products and expect the citizens to calm down.

He said under the Tinubu administration, corruption has played major role in the entire process.

Dalung described the president policies of first petroleum subsidy removal and secondly review of electricity tariff upward which is not favourable to average citizens of the country as catastrophic, the policies where made possible because the president was not having any special assistance nor special adviser that would have guard him .

” President Tinubu Is the only president that took over without transition committee, Obasanjo, Yaradua, Jonathan, and Buhari all have transition committee .”

“President Tinubu with his know it all mentality, thought he have Nigeria on his grip, and embarked on that disastrous of subsidy removal.

Stressed that it’s very unreasonable policy, not well thought of , and it was a very careless move which is ill time.

Unfortunately the catastrophic  policy of Tinubu Government has led us to where we are now, all  attempt to over come this policy catastrophy has failed woefully.

Beginning from the introduction of the importation of fuel, it was the policy that was never met to address the problem, but rather compounded it .

The policy of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration is a conduit pipe to enrich political associates and loyalist because there was no concrete plans on how the policy is going to be implemented. He maintained.
