Tension has started to mount on the All Progressive Congress ,APC, Plateau state chapter following alleged Kangaroo state Congress of the party held at the Crest hotel on Saturday 16th Oct,2021.
As Governor Simon Bako Lalong faction of APC, on Monday 18th Oct,2021 ,invaded the New APC Secretariat which was relocated from Angwan Rogo to Kalwa House along Bukuru Road in Jos,pull down flags, destroyed properties as the governor drafted fierce looking armed Security personnel to the New office of Hon Innocent Maimagani Zhattau
However, its was alleged that the desperate factional APC stormed the party Secretariat that has members across the 17 local government of the state by making mockery of democracy in Nigeria with security personnel overrunning the Secretariat of the party.
Zhattau said ,our headquarters was invaded by a group of Governor Security dissidents who stormed the Kalwa House Secretariat building in Jos South Local Government Council of Plateau State .
Speaking through telephone conversation on Monday morning Hon Innocent Zhattau told this medium that those security personnel were sighted pulling down our party flag at about 8am creating palpable tension to motorists plying the Jos -Bukuru road .
According to him,we hated impunity ,imposition of unpopular candidates on the people of Plateau state where those who didn’t buy forms where gathered to be pronounced as consensus candidates on Saturday .
we are the legitimate members who indicated interest to obtain nomination form , we participated by ensuring that the right thing is done to move our party forward .
“The Governor ordered security personnel to forcefully close down our Secretariat and we are calling on international community to come and see how Governor Simon Bako Lalong is destroying the tenets of democracy in Plateau state ,and Nigeria in general”.
